chronic and recurring problem

Chronic and recurring problems: chronic problem are those problems that have been with the person for a very long time. e.g. ” I have been depressed since I was a teenager”; ” I am always anxious, since when? As long as I can remember.” ” I have been using alcohol excessively since my college years” .

” I have this compulsive behavior or obsessive thought since I was a teenager. “My wife told me that I have been an angry man right after the honeymoon.” recurring problems are problems interperse with period of free of problems, remission or recovery, they experience bout of symptoms, or episodes. such as relationship problems: break- ups, employment problems, relationship problem with peers, or bosses, spouse/partners. Addictions interperse with period of recovery: alcohol and drug addiction, gambling addiction, sex addiction, romantic relationship addiction, and recuring depression and manic episodes, and psychotic episodes. The person who has the recurring problem usually does not know it until he/she has been repeating the same pattern several times. Some of them do come to me saying that ” last year, just a month before my deep depression, I felt the same way I am feeling now, so I made this appointment now.” Many of them question themselves: “why I have such bad luck?”; “Am I going to be like this for the rest of my life?”; “Can I ever be able to escape from this behavioral pattern? or that is my fate” . “What can I do to change it?” if you are in this position, you are at the right place, let me give/lend you a hand.
